Married at First Sight UK fans, be prepared for some shocking news: Matt Jameson & Daniel McKee announced their separation. Yes, I am still shocked.
Yesterday evening, the couple announced their sad news via Instagram. They have been married for two year. They shared a joint statement in which they confirmed the split and stated that they were better as friends and will continue to live with each other.
“We’ve come to realize that we’re better friends than enemies.”
Anouncing their break
They wrote on instagram “Hey guys!
As you all know, we have been on an incredible adventure together the last two years and we have given ourselves every opportunity to make things work as a couple, but over the last few months we have realised that we are actually better as friends.
Break ups are never easy, even when amicable, but we can’t thank you enough for your support and kindness following our journey together.
There’s nothing but love and good energy between us, and we feel very lucky to have found each other in our lives. Just sadly not as a couple! And although we are parting ways, we will always continue to support one another.
Sending love to everyone.
Dan and Matt xx”
The couple during and after Married at First Sight
Matt and Dan met while filming the Married at First Sight UK 2021 series. Charlene Douglas and Paul C Brunson, relationship experts, matched them up.
The couple were married on the show. Despite having disagreements over where they wanted to live, they were the only couple who remained together after filming was completed.
They moved to Dan’s house in Portstewart, Northern Ireland after the show. There they co-owned Wildbay Retreats.
The couple announced their plans for another wedding ceremony earlier this year. In an interview with OK! Matt said that they had spoken to a wedding planner about another wedding and that it was something they were considering.
He replied, “I would love to do that. We were at one of Dan’s friend’s weddings recently and we got chatting with a wedding planner. It’s definitely something we’re thinking about. I would love it and I know Dan would as well. But we’re in no rush, we’re embracing what we have together right now. We’ve gone through this immensely intense experience.”
It looks like we won’t be having that wedding right now. But here’s hoping Matt and Dan are doing well.
