THE ISABELLE MATHERS DIET
Isabelle Mathers loves eating fresh and nutritious food. She eats plenty of whole grains, vegetables and lean proteins.
Her diet is similar to one of Victoria’s Secret Angels follow. But unlikely many of them, Isabelle doesn’t cut on any foods. She is willing to eat most of things in moderation.
BREAKFAST
Isabelle’s favorite food, which she chooses almost all the time, is the avocado. She loves starting her day off with it whenever possible.
Most often, she mashes it on toasted rye or sourdough bread. The avocado is seasoned with lightly salted tomatoes, topped with watercress and vegan feta.
This meal is full of healthy fats and protein to make her feel light and start a day right.
If she is feeling very hungry, she adds eggs to the avocado toast in order to give herself an additional protein boost.
If she doesn’t find a good avocado in the shop, she goes with something simple as just two eggs and a toast.
LUNCH
For lunch, Isabelle likes keeping things pretty simple and it usually depends on what she is going to do for the rest of the day.
Her favorite dishes are sushi, salad wraps, or sandwiches made with tons of fresh vegetables and lean protein like chicken or turkey. Sometimes she might be little bit splurging, then she indulges in a burger. Anyway, for most days Isabelle sticks to eating a big filling salad.
She uses fresh seasonal greens, raw zucchini, sliced cherry tomatoes and edamame pods. This healthy mix is tossed with an avocado basil cashew cream and roasted balsamic vinaigrette. Then, she likes topping the salad with crunchy toasted seeds.
That dish keeps her going through the day.
DINNER
Isabelle always try to eat healthy so for dinner she also goes with something fresh and delicious. Her favorite dish is a vegetarian burger. This is a fresh and fit fast-food substitute
She took the recipe from one restaurant based in Bali called Café Organic.
The “burger” is a veggie patty packed full of seasonings and flavor. The patty gets topped with fresh greens (whatever’s in season), coriander leaves, baby romaine leaves, and feta. She then smothers the bun with aioli and a caramelized onion jam.
On the side, she loves sweet potato chips instead of the traditional fries.
SNACKS
Isabelle likes taking snacks throughout the day. It helps her keep her energy level up and that’s why she ca perform best. She also tries to keep her snacks healthy as the rest of her meals.
During photo shoots, she likes snacking peanut butter. It is one of her favs because it contains tons of protein and healthy fats.
When she doesn’t have a shoot, she likes making smoothies between meals. She usually prepare them from green food like kale, cucumber, spinach, celery, apple and banana.
If she craves something a bit sweeter, she mix blueberries, banana and almond milk with peanut butter and frozen yogurt. The whole smoothie is sweetened with honey.
DESSERT
Isabelle doesn’t have cheat days. Although, she indulges in something sweet almost every day. Mostly, it means something chocolate.
Realistically, it is not unhealthy until you are careful about what you’re eating and how much.
Isabelle diet works for her very well as we can see looking at her stunning photos. But, it might not work for you the same way. However, each body is different and you need to do what makes you feel best. The key is just to keep it healthy.
