Best piece of advice: Set mini goals, that will help you to reach bigger ones. Your big goals, for example losing 30 pounds, might seem scary and it can discourage you right at the beginning. Small goals don’t seem so overwhelming and you can be proud of yourself more often. Think: working out 20 minutes each day than working 2 hours at once, drinking more water, cutting off added sugar. If you can achieve those small steps, then you will easily move to bigger ones. This is the best way to not lose your motivation along the way.

Exercise she does for life: Burpees – it might be everyone’s exercise to hate, but it challenges you in many different way. It improves your strength and flexibility, and in reality, with modifications, anyone can do them.

Exercise she does for life: “One workout I am loving at the moment is [group cycling studio] SoulCycle. Something about riding to the beat of the music in a dark room while getting in a killer workout draws me in. There are instructors with different styles and music for whatever your mood is. I always leave high on endorphins, feeling accomplished, strong, and badass.”
